Ever wonder where people come up a saying or a thought that becomes so profound, or so strong that it never leaves you? I found such a quote in 1987, it has been somewhere in my office or on my desk since. Its like the Bible, always having meaning. I have shared this thought with people from time to time, and felt the need to post it to my blog today. I hope it has as much of an impact on you as it has with me.
Attitude is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home.
The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change the past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is to play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.
